Type 2 Diabetes And Blood Glucose Blood Sugar And How To Track It

I always thought in my head that I could be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

My grandmother suffered from type 2 and so my mother too. My symptoms began around 44. I was up every hour to use the toilet. It was an indication that I was working too much. I was the director of an organization that put in 40 to 60 hours a week.

I lived with symptoms for approximately 4 months. Finally, it got to the point that I felt really bad and tired. This forced me to visit the doctor to determine what it was.

My doctor performed an examination of my body and also checked my blood pressure and weight. The doctor also conducted the A1c blood sugar test. My A1c reading was 12.5 percent which is much higher than what is normal. My doctor said, "If your path continues it will cause a lot to your self." You have to change your habits and look better.

In addition to my job, I was already very healthy. The diet and exercise focus was the only thing I was focused on in my first three months of treatment. My doctor advised me to keep a food journal so he could monitor my improvement and make any needed adjustments. He also gave me the direction to exercise more. After three months my A1c was down from 10% to 12%.

Keep an eye out for updates on my journey, the questions, and tools I found that helped here me cope with my Type 2 Diabetes.
